Dighton-Rehoboth Regional had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 5-1 to make it six. They had just enough and edged out the Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders 10-9. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Somerset Berkley Regional, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 3.88 runs allowed.

For Somerset Berkley Regional's part, Liam Meehan was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those runs were Meehan's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Teasdale, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
