Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edcouch-Elsa). They claimed a resounding 100-47 victory over the Donna North Chiefs. The win was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as they're now sitting on six straight.

Edcouch-Elsa got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydon Villalpando out in front who went 5 for 9 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The matchup was Villalpando's third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erasmo Tamez, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Edcouch-Elsa smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Edcouch-Elsa's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.7 points over those games. As for Donna North, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-28.
