Nanih Waiya piles up the points against Winona

Recap: Nanih Waiya Warriors vs. Winona Tigers

The Nanih Waiya Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Winona for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-35 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Nanih Waiya, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Nyshea Hoskin was her usual excellent self, scoring 47 points along with seven steals. The match was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Kylianna Spivey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Nanih Waiya, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Winona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Nanih Waiya will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McAdams at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Winona, they will head out on the road to face off against Water Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Water Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
