Basketball Recap: Crawford's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Valley Center on Tuesday, Crawford came back down to earth. The Colts took a hard 60-41 fall against the Scripps Ranch Falcons on Saturday. The Colts lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in November of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 90-42 score last time.

Despite the loss, Crawford still got an impressive performance from Mickelson Laguerra, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Laguerra is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 19 every time he's taken the court this season.

Scripps Ranch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Hallock, who posted 19 points and six boards. Those six rebounds gave Hallock a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Corso, who had 16 points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crawford fell to 2-1. As for Scripps Ranch, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Crawford will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on December 12. As for Scripps Ranch, they will take on Helix at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
