Volleyball Recap: Butler's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

Butler had taken Providence down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Butler started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 11-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Butler still got an impressive performance from Amaya Bailey, who had 12 digs and three aces. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Butler fell to 4-1. As for Providence, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Butler has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Ballantyne Ridge on the 27th. As for Providence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Rocky River on the 28th.
