Volleyball Recap: Butler's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Butler was the 3-0 winner over Providence when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Butler actually scored more points across those five sets (104-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 11-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-13.

Having lost for the first time this season, Butler fell to 4-1. As for Providence, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Coming up, Butler will face off against Ballantyne Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Providence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
