Softball Recap: St. Pauls Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fairmont last Tuesday, St. Pauls came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 9-2 to the Golden Tornadoes on Thursday. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but the Golden Tornadoes' pitchers proved too tough.

St. Pauls saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Ray, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

With the loss, St. Pauls broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8. As for Fairmont, their record is now 4-8.

St. Pauls has already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Clinton on the 15th. As for Fairmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against West Bladen on the 15th.
