Softball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 6-14 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Millville Thunderbolts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 8-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Millville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For Millville's part, Kherington Rothmel was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Rothmel a new career-high. Isabella Musey was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Cumberland nor Millville have any future games scheduled.
