Volleyball Recap: Weld Central Takes a Loss

Weld Central lost against Elizabeth back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rebels fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Katelyn Nuanes paced Weld Central's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nuanes got some help from Tegan Huwa and her 21 assists. Cydni Dudley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Weld Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Weld Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Fort Morgan on the 27th. As for Elizabeth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Jefferson Academy on the 27th.
