Softball Recap: Horizon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Basha, Horizon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Mountain Pointe Pride by a score of 6-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kaia Stephens was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Holland Propp, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Horizon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Pointe only posted a batting average of .214.

The victory got Horizon back to even at 8-8. As for Mountain Pointe, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-16-1.

Horizon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pride: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
