Softball Recap: Centralia Panthers vs. Valley Heights Mustangs
Centralia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Valley Heights Mustangs.
Oen Deters put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned run off one hit. Deters was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and a double.
In other batting news, Tava Gibbs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases.
On Valley Heights' side, Paige Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.
