Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy and Hillcrest squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Kennedy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-1.

Travis Bergmann was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Owens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Hillcrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Kennedy nor Hillcrest have any future games scheduled.
