Basketball Preview: South Webster Jeeps vs. Waverly Tigers
The South Webster Jeeps will challenge the Waverly Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Webster is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season.
Last Saturday, South Webster didn't have too much trouble with Notre Dame as they won 53-37. Given the Jeeps' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Titans are ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Roberts, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Roberts has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Shupert, who posted seven points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Waverly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-48 to Wheelersburg.
South Webster's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Waverly, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Everything went South Webster's way against Waverly in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as South Webster made off with a 54-32 win.
