Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lanie Tomczak and Maryssa Evans Lead Mishawaka Marian to Victory

Mishawaka Marian won the last time they faced Plymouth and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pilgrims/Rockies 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 14, 2024.

Mishawaka Marian wouldn't go down easily and took Plymouth into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-27, 15-5.

Leading Mishawaka Marian to victory were Maryssa Evans and Lanie Tomczak. Evans had five digs and three aces, while Tomczak had 20 assists and 13 digs. Tomczak is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.
