Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Bulldogs vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

The Franklin Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Webster Schroeder Warriors at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Franklin is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Health Sciences Charter on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Franklin was outmatched by Health Sciences Charter and fell 71-40. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Falcons are ranked 190th).

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder strolled past Irondequoit with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-48. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Webster Schroeder's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Franklin took their victory against Webster Schroeder in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 77-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
