Softball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since March 26th.

Independence has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Bakersfield Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Independence by a score of 10-0 on Friday.
