Last Friday, everything came up roses for Highlands Latin at home against Kentucky Country Day as the squad secured a 44-15 win. The victory was just what Highlands Latin needed coming off of a 65-6 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Louisville Saints HomeSchool beat Portland Christian 35-25 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Louisville Saints HomeSchool needed coming off of a 60-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Louisville Saints HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Simmon led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Simmon has scored at least 25% of Louisville Saints HomeSchool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayley Mattingly, who scored 4 points along with 11 rebounds.
The victory got Highlands Latin back to even at 1-1. As for Louisville Saints HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Highlands Latin was able to grind out a solid victory over Louisville Saints HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in January, winning 42-35.
