Football Recap: Scotland/Menno Comes Up Short

The Scotland/Menno Trappers had to suffer through a 64-16 loss at the hands of the Alcester-Hudson Cubs. The Trappers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland/Menno lost on Friday, don't look at Izayah Ulmer. Despite the final result, he rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 97 yards and one TD.

Scotland/Menno's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Alcester-Hudson, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Scotland/Menno will face off against Hill City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alcester-Hudson, they will square off against Deubrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cubs will be up against the Dolphins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
