Baseball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Guajome Park Academy Frogs

For the second straight game, St. Joseph Academy will face off against Guajome Park Academy. The Crusaders will challenge the Frogs at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph Academy has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Guajome Park Academy hit St. Joseph Academy with a five-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders fell 12-8 to the Frogs. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blaise McMahon put in work no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off three hits. McMahon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mathew Adams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Luke Sutherlin was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Guajome Park Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15. As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
