Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Teshon Gaynair and Julian Pagan Lead William Allen to Victory

The William Allen Canaries earned a 36-24 victory over the Martin Luther King Cougars on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Canaries.

Leading William Allen to victory were Julian Pagan and Teshon Gaynair. Pagan rushed for 114 yards and two scores, while Gaynair picked up 142 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Gaynair showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 51 yards.

William Allen didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah Watkins and Vernon Lawson.

William Allen's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Martin Luther King, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, William Allen will square off against East Stroudsburg North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martin Luther King, they will face off against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
