Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After a string of seven wins, Unity Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaFayette Ramblers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Ramblers from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Unity Christian's offense was headlined by Anna Grace Wells and Lyla Ellison, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Claire Goodwin and her eight assists. Finally, Ellison was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Unity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 16-16. As for LaFayette, they are on a roll lately: they've won 24 of their last 29 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9 record this season.

Unity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Trion on the 30th. As for LaFayette, they will face off against Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
