O'Connor came tearing into Saturday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Holmes Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-6 back in March.

O'Connor's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ella De Luna, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another was Araceli Alonzo, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

O'Connor hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

O'Connor's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12-1.

O'Connor wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against Stevens on the 15th. As for Holmes, they have also already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Marshall on the 15th.
