Flag Football Recap: Seaside Comes Up Short

Seaside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marina Mariners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in September.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Marina, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Seaside will square off against rival North Salinas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marina is set to challenge their familiar foe Soledad at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mariners 14.4, the Aztecs 10) so any points scored will be well earned.
