Basketball Recap: Valley Stream North Takes a Loss

Valley Stream North and West Hempstead squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Valley Stream North had to settle for second. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Hempstead Rams. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Rams are ranked 57th).

Valley Stream North's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for West Hempstead, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Valley Stream North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Hempstead, they have already played their next matchup, an 80-70 loss against Floral Park Memorial on the 8th.
