Football Recap: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Chisum Mustangs
There's no place like home for Lone Oak, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Chisum Mustangs 55-32 on Friday. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lone Oak can attribute much of their success to Slayde Parnell, who threw for 158 yards and three TDs. What's more, Parnell racked up 16 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Max Ramirez got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Daniel Barahona, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Lone Oak's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Chisum, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Coincidentally, Lone Oak and Chisum will both be playing Prairiland the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Buffaloes will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
