Basketball Recap: Mariner Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mariner can now relate to. They fell 56-43 to the North Fort Myers Red Knights on Monday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tritons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-48 back in December of 2024.

Mariner dropped their record down to 1-23 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for North Fort Myers, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-14.

Mariner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Fort Myers, they will challenge Port Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Charlotte will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Fort Myers surely won't give up without a fight.
