Basketball Recap: Sanderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sanderson lost against Millbrook back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans received a blow as they fell 41-23 to the Wildcats. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amyah Lynn was Sanderson's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Hannah Sayre held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Alexandra Witman took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Millbrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Bardeen, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Bardeen has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Korryn Dixon, who shot 44% from the field on her way to 15 points.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Millbrook, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Sanderson will square off against Hillside at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Millbrook, they will face off against Holly Springs at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
