Baseball Recap: Mansfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mansfield entered their tilt with Spokane on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Owls. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

Mansfield's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Spokane, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield will square off against Norwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Spokane, they will head out to face off against Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
