Baseball Recap: Lejeune Devil Pups vs. Northside - Pinetown Panthers

Lejeune had lost 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-11 to make it 12. They lost 10-4 to the Northside - Pinetown Panthers. If the Devil Pups were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Those three runs gave Hewitt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Willard, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

While Lejeune had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
