Georgia Christian came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Valdosta Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Generals have posted against the Wildcats since August 27, 2020.

Georgia Christian was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (62-61), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 20-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Valdosta still got an impressive performance from Maddie Sutherland, who had 14 digs and five aces.

Georgia Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Valdosta, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.

Georgia Christian and Valdosta should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Generals will square off against Colquitt County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (115 vs. 254). Meanwhile, Valdosta (ranked 103rd) will meet Columbia (ranked 252nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
