Seton Catholic had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Globe Tigers a 15-0 shutout. The Sentinels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Brady Stephenson, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Chase Ries was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Globe only posted an OBP of .312.

Seton Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Globe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic will square off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Seton Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Globe, they will take on Apache Junction at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
