The Fraser Ramblers will venture away from home to  take on the Chippewa Valley Big Reds  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Fraser is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1  runs per game  this season.
On Thursday, Fraser came up short against Utica  and fell  7-3.
 Gabrielle Gajewski was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Gajewski wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Isabel Wilson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Utica Eisenhower hit Chippewa Valley with a four-run third inning  on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Big Reds came up short against  the Eagles, falling  11-0. Big Reds fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since  on Thursday.
 This is the second loss in a row for Chippewa Valley and  nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Fraser, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Chippewa Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Friday. Fraser has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.2  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Chippewa Valley, though, as  they've been averaging  only 2.8  strikeouts. Will Fraser keep running through batters, or will the Big Reds buck the trend?
 Fraser came out on top in a nail-biter against Chippewa Valley in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
