Basketball Game Preview: Clearfield Falcons vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

The Clearfield Falcons and the Ridgeline Riverhawks will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clearfield has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Ridgeline will arrive with three straight wins.

Clearfield is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Weber on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Clearfield might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Weber an easy 67-47 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered against the Warriors since February 18, 2021.

Meanwhile, Ridgeline was able to grind out a solid win over Spring Creek on Saturday, taking the game 51-40. The 51-point effort marked the Riverhawks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ridgeline, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
