Preview: Wooster Generals vs. Ashland Arrows
The Wooster Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Ashland Arrows at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wooster comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Wooster had to suffer through a rough 78-50 loss at the hands of Lexington. While losing is never fun, Wooster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Lexington is ranked 101st).
Wooster's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Carmean, who scored 18 points, and Ethan Shetler who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. Brady Bowen was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ashland had just enough and edged Clyde out 52-50 on Saturday.
Dover's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Wooster's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
Wooster barely slipped by Ashland in their previous matchup back in January, winning 66-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wooster since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
