Volleyball Game Preview: Legacy Lions vs. Treasure Coast Titans

The Legacy Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Treasure Coast Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Legacy made easy work of Central and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Legacy took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Legacy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kherington Neikirk out in front who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Neikirk has posted over her last ten contests. Taylor Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Legacy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Treasure Coast narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Westwood 3-2.

Legacy's record is now 17-7. As for Treasure Coast, their record now sits at 5-9.
