Dynamic duo of Ijyana Edwards and Bryleigh Florio lead Lecanto to victory

Recap: Lecanto Panthers vs. Hernando Leopards
The Lecanto Panthers posted their biggest win since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Hernando 65-41. With that win, Lecanto brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Leading Lecanto to victory were Ijyana Edwards and Bryleigh Florio. Edwards scored 15 points along with nine assists and six steals, while Florio scored 27 points along with seven steals. Florio is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Xena Bellamy was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Lecanto and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Hernando, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
Lecanto won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nature Coast Tech at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Nature Coast Tech is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Hernando will take on Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
