Baseball Recap: Los Altos Drops Season-High Score on Westmont

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Los Altos). They blew past the Westmont Warriors 12-1 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Emmett Heath was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Gavin Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Los Altos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Los Altos has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Westmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Altos will face off against Gunn at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westmont, they will take on Leland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
