Soccer Game Preview: Tranquillity vs. Dos Palos

Tranquillity is 0-9-1 against Dos Palos since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Tranquillity Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dos Palos Broncos at 5:30 p.m. Tranquillity's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Tranquillity took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Firebaugh.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Dos Palos' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mendota by a score of 3-2. Jonathan Zapata was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Gerardo Andrade and Arturo Mendoza scored both of Dos Palos' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Tranquillity's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Dos Palos, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
