While Stephenville's win against Mineral Wells wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rams 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Presley Gaitan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kodi Thompson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayci Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Stephenville's victory bumped their record up to 15-12-1. As for Mineral Wells, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.
