Volleyball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Monterey Trail back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.

Coby Fan paced Franklin's offense, picking up seven kills. Fan got some help from Andrew Thao and his 13 assists.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Monterey Trail, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Franklin will host Elk Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Thundering Herd at the right time seeing as the Thundering Herd are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Monterey Trail, they will venture away from home to face off against Pleasant Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
