Recap: Grissom Tigers vs. James Clemens Jets
The Grissom Tigers lost against the James Clemens Jets back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Grissom was dealt a 35-7 defeat at the hands of James Clemens. While losing is never fun, Grissom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 177th, while James Clemens is ranked 38th).
Grissom's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.8 points per game. As for James Clemens, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Grissom will head out on the road to face off against Buckhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buckhorn and Grissom are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for James Clemens, they will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Hoover's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
