Softball Recap: Irmo Comes Up Short

Irmo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the American Leadership Academy Patriots. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Patriots when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Malia Lewis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Irmo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Irmo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on March 3. As for American Leadership Academy, they will square off against Gilbert at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
