Basketball Recap: Mobile Christian Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It was a good run, but Mobile Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bayside Academy Admirals. The Leopards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Admirals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Mobile Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hakeem Winston, who posted 19 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, and Rico Prince, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points. The contest was Prince's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sema'J Law, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Mobile Christian's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Bayside Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mobile Christian has already played their next game (against Bayside Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bayside Academy will take on Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Hill Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Bayside Academy likes a good challenge.
