Softball Game Preview: Delta Charter Storm vs. Family Community Christian

The Delta Charter Storm will venture away from home to take on Family Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta Charter has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Delta Charter headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Vidalia let them put that streak behind them. Delta Charter won by a run and slipped past Vidalia 17-16. The win continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Family Community Christian got the win against Monterey on Saturday by a conclusive 14-4. Considering Family Community Christian has won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Family Community Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Delta Charter, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
