Softball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord lost against Central Cabarrus back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Concord lost 10-4 to Central Cabarrus. The Spiders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McKinley Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Emilia Bradley also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Central Cabarrus, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Concord will venture away from home to square off against Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Concord is facing Albemarle at the right time seeing as Albemarle is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Central Cabarrus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Cabarrus at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
