Nicholas Franzese was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Franzese wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Elliot, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
