Volleyball Recap: Minford Has No Trouble Against Northwest

Minford's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Northwest Mohawks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Minford never let Northwest on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

Kerigan Davis paced Minford's offense, picking up 14 kills. Davis got some help from Savanna Barker and her 28 assists. Barker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Minford's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Northwest, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11.

Minford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Adena on the 20th. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
