Basketball Recap: Carson Asbaty's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Knoxville Catholic over Bradley Central

Knoxville Catholic played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 91-68 to the Bradley Central Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Fighting Irish have suffered since December 28, 2023.

Knoxville Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Asbaty, who went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Juice Eleam, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Knoxville Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Bradley Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Knoxville Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bradley Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-23 victory against Ooltewah on the 18th.
