Softball Game Preview: Adamson Leopards vs. White Longhorns

Adamson hasn't had much luck against White recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Leopards are taking a road trip to square off against the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. Adamson has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Adamson came up short against Molina on Tuesday, falling 15-3.

Daniella Luna was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those hits marked the first that she has got this season.

Meanwhile, White came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bison a 20-0 shutout. Considering the Longhorns have won ten games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Micah Mowles, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Richardson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Adamson's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for White, their win bumped their record up to 11-15-1.

Adamson suffered a grim 24-9 defeat to White when the teams last played back in March. Can the Leopards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
