Basketball Recap: Forest Hill Comes Up Short

Forest Hill extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Ridgeland Titans, falling 64-25. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-18.

As for Ridgeland, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Forest Hill: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashton Manuel, who went 5-for-8 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Manuel's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquise Williams, who posted 16 points and four steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Forest Hill will challenge Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgeland, they will take on Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
